| Overlijdensbericht | James E. VanBlaricum passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Marianas Adult Home Care in Avon Lake, Ohio. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 15, 1937. He was employed at the Federal Aviation Administration as an Electronic Technician, which was a satisfying career choice.
James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor (nee Varley) in 2021; his parents, Jack and Sue VanBlaricum (nee Byrd); and a son, Timothy Thompson in 1998; and grandson, Joshua Thompson.
James is survived by his daughter, Linda Craig and a grandson, Austin Thompson.
The family wishes to thank The Hospice of the Western Reserve for all of their care and kindness during his illness.
A private burial service will be held at Brookdale Cemetery.

| Overlijdensbericht | Eleanor 'Ellie' VanBlaricum (Nee Varley) 92 years old of Elyria passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Avon Lake, Ohio.
Ellie was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on March 7, 1929 and made her home in Elyria since 1986. She worked in various places as a kitchen and laundry aide, but was primarily a homemaker. She practiced the Methodist faith. Her hobbies were dancing, traveling, and watching soap operas. She especially enjoyed her dogs, Chippy, Peaches, Deeohge, and Jrock.
Surviving her are her husband, James E; a daughter, Linda Craig; and a grandson, Austin Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Thompson in 1998; a grandson, Joshua Thompson and her parents, Philip and Ada (nee Ames) Varley.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. until the time of services at 8:00 P.M. Chaplain Chuck Behrens will officiate. A private burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio. |
