| Overlijdensbericht | VAN BLARICUM - Mr. Albert Van Blaricum, aged 92, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Campus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Van Blaricum in February of 2002; brothers, Lester Van Blaricum, Ward Van Blaricum, Jack Van Blaricum; and sister, Vera Douthett. Surviving are his children, Keith "Tom" and Sue Van Blaricum and Laurene Dressander; grandchildren, Randy Van Blaricum, Mindy Bailey, Jay (Gina) Dressander, Chad (Natalie) Dressander, and Stacie Dressander and fiancé, Jason Hartman; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Fred Van Blaricum; sister, Lenna Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Van Blaricum was an employee of Cascade Country Club for over 20 years and loved to play golf. He was also known as Al Van the Magic Man for over 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave., N.E. at Three Mile Rd. with The Rev. Bruce Wilson of Plainfield Christian Church officiating. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
