| Overlijdensbericht | Gary A. Van Blaricum, 82, of Camby, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born to George Van Blaricum and Martha (Greene) Benge on April 2, 1935 in Indianapolis. He honorably served in the United States Air Force. He married Peggy (Jenkins) Van Blaricum on April 13, 1956. He was a Building Maintenance Engineer for American United Life for 20 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member
of Lifeline Baptist Church. He enjoyed working and especially loved spending
time with his family. He lived in Camby for 50 years. He is survived by his lovely wife of 61 years, Peggy Van Blaricum of Camby; a loving son, Jerry (Teresa) Van Blaricum of Martinsville; a loving daughter, Sheri (Eddie) Hunter of Camby; four wonderful grandchildren, Jerry Jr. and Jesse Van Blaricum, Adam and Trenton Hunter; a brother, George Van Blaricum; seven sisters, Flora Henderson, Ella Jean Caparo, Betty Hutto, Terry Van Blaricum, Diane Johnson, Alice Salsman and Mary Van Blaricum. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores Lowe; two brothers, Richard and Kenny Van Blaricum. Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 and 10-11 a.m. on Friday, April 28 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Tim Lindsey will officiate Gary's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home. Gary will be laid to rest in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Martinsville. |

Overlijdensbericht | Peggy L (Jenkins) Van Blaricum, 81, of Camby, passed away Tuesday, September 8th, 2020. She was born May 21st, 1939 in Westmoreland, Tennessee to her parents, James H. and Elsie R. (Hire) Jenkins. She married Gary A. Van Blaricum on April 13th, 1956. She was a resident of Camby for most of her life. Peggy is survived by her two children, Jerry (Teresa) Van Blaricum Sr. of Martinsville and Sheri (Eddie) Hunter of Camby; four grandchildren: Jerry (Gwen) Van Blaricum Jr., Jesse Van Blaricum, Adam and Trenton (Alisan) Hunter; four great granddaughters: Daisy Hunter, Shellie Cox, Faith Cox, and Katelyn Cox; 1 great grandson, Bryan Cox; two great great grandchildren: Mason and Delaney Christian; and two sisters: Jean Carter of Indianapolis and Sandra Rhudy of Greenwood. Peggy is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Gary A. Van Blaricum; four sisters: Hilda Baker, Kathryn Simpson, Carolyn Lathrop, and Wanda Stout; and three brothers: William, Don and Harold Jenkins. Peggy was an Office Manager for Louis Linder and Son in Camby for 32 years before retiring in 2001. She was an active member of Lifeline Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with the Sunday school ladies. She loved spending time with family, especially traveling. Peggy also enjoyed spending time with her poodle, Sammy. She loved jigsaw puzzles and going to garage sales. Family and friends may show their love and support from 10 am to 12 pm (Noon) on Thursday, September 10th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Tim Lindsey will officiate a celebration of life service at 12 pm (Noon) on Thursday, September 10th at the funeral home. Peggy will be laid to rest next to her husband at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Martinsville. | |
