Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 74 years of age. Dear companion of Doug Gray and predeceased by her husband Howie McDougall. Cherished mum of Lisa (Tony), and Robert Jones. Loving grandma of her "favourite" granddaughter Grace Jones. Born in Markham, ON to the late David and Mildred Van Blaricom, Jane was predeceased by her siblings Paul Van Blaricom and Enid Schloen and is survived by her brother Sheridan Van Blaricom (Pamela Jessop). Jane will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family. A well-respected teacher for 34 years at Dr. C.F. Cannon Public School, Jane touched the lives of many students throughout her career. She was a talented piano player, avid reader and enjoyed travelling to warmer climates after her retirement. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeridge Health Foundation are greatly appreciated. A private family service will be held at a later date.Durham Region News, February 15, 2023 |
