| Overlijdensbericht | Marvin J. VanBlargan, 89, of Zion Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 at his residence. Marvin was born in Zion Grove, on April 6, 1931, a son of the late Alice (VanBlargan) and Benjamin VanBlargan. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted and served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he lived in Ohio where he worked for the Sprint Telephone Company for 37 years, retiring as an electronics supervisor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alline Joy (Cunningham) VanBlargan in 2006, and then moved back to the Zion Grove area. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Eric at birth, and a daughter Cynthia Alline Nestor in 2010. A brother, Irvin VanBlargan and a sister Mildred VanBlargan, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Marvellee Kissling, of New Mexico; a sister, Alice Kripp, of Zion Grove; and his long time companion, Barbara Troy-Wright of Zion Grove, with whom he resided. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, along with great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his extended family. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Nuremberg Cemetery on Friday, August 28th at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Phil Smith officiating. | |
