Overlijdensbericht | January 10, 2000 -- Mark van Blarcom, 49, formerly of Atkinson, died Friday morning as a result of a fire at his home. Born in Brockton, Mass., Mr. Van Blarcom was employed at Foss Manufacturing in Seabrook, previously working for 15 years at Turners Dairy and in construction in greater Lawrence, Mass. Mr. Van Blarcom attended First Baptist Church and was a committee member for the Boy Scouts Troop 409. A 20-year resident of Salem, he loved woodworking. He leaves his wife Dolores (Miller) Van Blarcom of Salem; sons Bradley and his wife Diana of New Hampshire, and Mark E., of Salem; daughter Melissa and her husband Jay Quinn of Salem; and one granddaughter. Family and friends may call tonight from 4 to 8 at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St. Funeral services will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. in First Baptist Church, 101 School St. Cremation will follow.
