ObituaryDorothy D. Coombs, 84, of Whitehall formerly of Walnutport, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 after a lengthy illness in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nuremberg, PA a daughter of the late William and Verna (Green) VanBlargan. Dorothy was employed by H. Leh and Company for over 20 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Allentown. Throughout her life, Dorothy was a very kind and caring person who was always thinking of others. She was an especially devoted Aunt to her special Niece Sharon with whom she resided along with her Sister Leona.
Survivors: Sister: Leona Kuhns of Whitehall; Step-daughter Jean Barber of Conway, SC; five Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her Brothers Wilmer, Herbert and William VanBlargan and Sister Nancy (VanBlargan) Hoffman.
Services: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in the Stephens Funeral Home Inc 1335-37 Linden St. Allentown. Call 9:00-10:00 A.M in the funeral home. Interment will be in Nuremberg Cemetery.

ObituaryEdward R. Moyer, 71, of Walnutport, died Friday, Oct. 25, at home. He was the companion of Dorothy D. Coombs, with whom he resided.
He was a steelworker for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 41 years until retiring in 1987. He was also a mixologist for the Bethlehem Steel Club; St. Bernard of Bethlehem; American Legion of Fountain Hill; the Pilots’ Club, Hanover Township, and The Maples, Bethlehem.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Clarence and Anna (Johnson) Moyer.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Companion; son, Gerald of Bethlehem; daughter, Sarah, wife of Charles Veanus of Fountain Hill; brother, James of Bethlehem, and two grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Stephens Funeral Home, 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown. Call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Contributions: Hospice of the Visiting Nurses Association of Eastern Pa., 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem 18017.
