A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in Lincoln Willamette Funeral Home for Ella M. Sutherland, who died Oct. 3 at age 82.
Mrs. Sutherland was born June 30, 1916, in Portland, where she lived all her life. Her maiden name was Van Blaricom. She graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School and was a homemaker, waitress, a factory worker for Jantzen Knitting Mills and owner of Shady Rest Tavern. In 1972, she married Earl H.; he died in 1994.
Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the Casey Eye Institute.The Oregonian, October 6, 1998 |

| Obituary | EARL H. SUTHERLAND
A service will be at 11 a.m. May 16, 1994, at the chapel of Lincoln Willamette Funeral Directors with burial in Willamette National Cemetery.
Mr. Sutherland died May 11, 1994, of pulmonary disease at age 76.
He was born Feb. 10, 1918, in Grand Rapids, Minn., and had lived in Portland since the late 1930s.
A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, he married Ella in 1972.
