| Obituary | Franklin, Dec. 13 - Mrs. Elisabeth Johnson, the former Elizabeth VanBlarcum, died suddenly on Saturday in Franklin. Mrs. Johnson, widow of the late Richard M. Johnson, had lived for most of her life in Hackensack. Surviving is one grandson, Henry Ruckdeschel Jr. of Sussex, N. Y., formerly of Hackensack. Burial will be tomorrow at 3 P. M. at Pearl River Cemetery, N. Y. |

Obituary | Richard Johnson, a conductor on the New Jersey and New York Railroad for 17 years, died at his home in Spring Valley, N. Y.. on Wednesday evening of typhoid pneumonia. Deceased was 40 years old. Johnson is the first passenger conductor on this road to die since the death of Conductor Gross, about a quarter of a century ago. His wife was a native of Hackensack. Funeral services will be held at his late home on Saturday afternoon. Interment will be in the Middletown cemetery, Pearl River. |
