Obituary | Rae Ellen Van Blarcom De Blasi, 61, of Fairfield, N.J., died peacefully at home on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving daughters, family and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, North Caldwell, N.J. Born in Passaic, N.J., Rae was raised in Clifton, N.J., and lived there before moving to Fairfield 25 years ago. She was a devoted and loving mom who focused her life on "The Girls." Surviving are her devoted daughters, Deanna and Danae De Blasi; loving mother, Dorothy Van Blarcom; dear sister, Karen Colegary, and brother, Mark Van Blarcom; husband, Douglas De Blasi, and many treasured friends. She was predeceased by her father, Raymond Van Blarcom, and children, Mary, Douglas and Raymond.
