Obituary | DAINGERFIELD — Memorial services for Lloyd Elvin Van Blaricom, 73, of Diana, Texas, will be 1 p.m. today, September 3, 2011 , at Smyrna United Methodist Church, 18626 FM 450 N., in Diana, Texas. Officiating will be his niece, Pastor Debby Brown. Mr. Van Blaricom was born November 15, 1937, in Exline, Iowa, to Sherman and Lura Van Blaricom. He died Thursday, September 1, 2011, in Longview, Texas. Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing and hunting. He moved to the East Texas area in 1973 and enjoyed working as a local machinist until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Van Blaricom; brothers, Lester and Clifford Van Blaricom; and sisters, Carrol Ione, Marie Jennings, Shirley Deanna Bushnell and Doris Crain. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Van Blaricom of Diana, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Leigh Johnson of Hallsville, Texas, Ron and Becky Van Blaricom of Rockford, Ill., Tom and Jan Van Blaricom of Colorado, Brian and Bronwyn Wright of Ponder, Texas, and Jerry and Kari Van Blaricom of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Cindy Van Blaricom of Longview, Texas; stepson, William Furlong of Fort Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren, Tabitha and Mike Vaught, Trisha Johnson, Megan Johnson, Bronwyn Wright, Katrina Wright and Glenda Wright; and several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
