| Obituary | Fredric Carl Van Blerkom May 1, 1949 - July 30, 2015
Fred Van Blerkom of Beaver Dam, Arizona, formerly of Grand Junction, Colorado went home to be with our Heavenly Father on July 30, 2015.
Fred was born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania to Walter and Ethel Van Blerkom (pre deceased). Fred served in the US Navy, and also worked for the US Postal Service.
His hobbies included traveling, fishing, water volleyball, camping. During one of his traveling adventures, he came to Grand Junction and met and married Donna Martinez. They were married for 40 wonderful years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Josh (Joyce) of Fruita, CO; daughter, Charissa of Long Beach, CA; two brothers, Malcom (Diane) of Johnstown, PA, and Allan (Ruth) of Wilmington, DE, and his two fur babies, Lily and Leo.
Memorial services will be Monday, August 10th at 9:45 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
