| | Obituary | Rudolph V. "Rudy" Van Blaricum Sr., 61, of Hilton Head Island died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Brighton, Mich., son of the late Jack and Clara Sandford Van Blaricum. He moved to Hilton Head in 1986 from Fowlerville, Mich. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Van Blaricum; his son, Rudy Van Blaricum Jr. of Hilton Head; two daughters, Dawn Rightmyer of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Shelly Shabdue of Washburn, Tenn.; three brothers, Gary and Paul of Michigan and Roger of Ohio; two sisters, Lisa of Florida and Linda of Michigan; and nine grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at noon Saturday at Rawlings Funeral Home in Sevierville, Tenn. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Church in Sevierville. Memorial services will be held at a later date on Hilton Head and in Michigan.
