| Obituary | VanBlarcom, Lydia H., age 88 years, of Coleman, Michigan, formerly of Bay City, passed away November 29, 2010 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. She was born in Bellaire, Michigan on May 22, 1922 to the late George and Anna (Neubacher) Schumaker. She married Frank E. VanBlarcom on December 14, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2005.
Survivors include 4 children: Joan (Jerry) Schrott, Joyce Turschak, Jane Stefanski and Bruce (Cathy) VanBlarcom, 9 grandchildren: Reneé Cribbins, Heidi Schrott, Erika [Will] Schrott, Joseph G. Turschak, Judy Napieralski, Donald (Jen) Stefanski, Carrie (Steve) Senk, Brett VanBlarcom and Ashleigh VanBlarcom, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Grace Marcinek. She was preceded in death by a son, Byron VanBlarcom, an infant daughter, a granddaughter, Jill Turschak, 3 sons-in-law: Joseph Turschak, Robert Roy and Donald Stefanski, a brother, Richard Schumaker and 2 sisters: Gerry and Martha.
Funeral and committal services will be on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. The Rev. Duane M. Harris will officiate. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Mid-Michigan Hospice in Midland. |
