| Obituary | Van Blarcom, Raymond , 79 of Clifton on June 20, 2007. Son of the late Consuelo Van Blarcom, Raymond was born in Passaic before moving to Sears Place, Clifton where he met his childhood sweetheart and wife of 58 years Dorothy Gianone. Raymond was a wonderful father to Rae Ellen Van Blarcom De Blasi – Fairfield, Karen & her husband Thomas Colegary – Freehold & Mark Van Blarcom – Lincoln Park. He was best known as “Pop” to his nine grandchildren: Deanna& Danae & the late Mary, Raymond & Douglas V. De Blasi, Tyler & Cory Van Blarcom,, Shannon & the late Tara Colegary. He also leaves behind his brother & best friend John “Corky” Van Blarcom & his wife Rosemary. Sister in laws Frances Vargo & Rosalie Hawryluk, many nieces, nephews and great friends. Raymond was a pitcher for the Clifton Indians & was a World War II Army Veteran receiving the WW-II Victory Medal & the army of occupation medal – Japan. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church – Clifton. He retired from both the Okonite Co. – Passaic & Athenia Steel Co. - Clifton where he worked in Sales & Personnel for 40 years. Raymond blessed all who knew him with his strength, courage and wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all.
