ObituaryVincent Ebert VanBlaricum, 78, of Werner Avenue died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday Nov. 19, 2005, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
A graveside memorial service and military graveside rites will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Mitchell J. Coggin officiating. There will be no calling. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana. Funeral arrangements were made by Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Hurst of Columbus; and sisters, Irene Crippen of Columbus and Juanita Britton of Lansing, Mich.

ObituaryBrown County native Phyllis A. Meier died Saturday afternoon, January 16, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. A resident of North Vernon, she was 64.
Mrs. Meier was born September 2, 1934, in Brown County to Burl and Mildred McGee Percifield. She and Ephraim R. Meier were married July 23, 1978. He died May 16, 1992.
Mrs. Meier was retired from United Way of Bartholomew County. She had been a former Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include a son, Darrel Foist of Columbus; two daughters, Dianne Browne and Carol Hurst, both of Columbus; a brother, Lee Percifield of North Vernon; a sister, Judy Russell of Brown County; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Meier was preceded in death by two sisters.
Pastor Fred Harrison will lead a service today, January 20, at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home in Columbus. Burial was in Bartholomew County's St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to United Way of Bartholomew County.
